Lodging/Meal Information

Price includes:
  • Lodging: One room for three nights. Each room includes a double-sized bed, a single-sized bed, and an attached bathroom. All of the bathrooms have showers. The building has heat, but no A/C.
  • Meals: Meals begins with Dinner on Friday, September 1 and end with Breakfast on Monday, September 4

Additional Bedding

Each room comes equipped with one single and one double bed. If you would like to add a roll away bed for $10, please indicate below. There are a limited number of rollaway beds on campus and it is not guaranteed you will get one even if you indicate a preference for one. Availability will be first come, first served.

Camper and Teen Counselor Information:

List the name, birth date, and gender of each youth camper (i.e. Michael Jones, 1/2/03, male) If there are no campers, please type NO CAMPERS

Dietary and/or Mobility Restrictions

All meals will be prepared by YMCA_BRA. Please let us know if any family members have dietary restrictions, particularly severe allergies. Also, please inform us of any mobility restrictions that may require you to be on a ground-level floor as this building does not have an elevator.

Prayer Book

Each family receives a Prayer Book the first year they attend, and receives inserts to add to their Family Prayer Book each subsequent year according to the New Year’s theme. If this is your first year at Kadampa Family Dharma Camp, please let us know so we can present you with a Prayer Book! Please check one

Volunteering Requirement

Kadampa Center’s Family Dharma Camp is entirely run by volunteers, many of whom are also participating in camp with their own children. There are opportunities to volunteer with camp planning, registration, set-up, leading sessions, nature walks, helping with the altar, and many other things we haven’t thought of yet! Feel free to share a particular interest or skill you could offer. Once your registration is complete, we will contact you with available volunteering options.

Possible Travel Assistance

Camp is approx. 4 hours from Raleigh, NC and 2 hours from Charlotte, NC. If you need or can provide travel assistance going to and coming back from Camp, please answer below. We will create a carpool list closer to the date of Camp so you can coordinate your own transportation. Check one

Donation Information

As with all our dharma-related activities at Kadampa Center, there is no charge for the spiritual programming of Camp. We rely on the generosity of our members and participants to cover costs, such as counselor stipends, art and dharma supplies, and Sangha offerings.

There are costs associated with the dharma-related activities and programming of camp, including sponsorship of our college-age counselors.

Payment Information

Camp Fee is for your family’s accommodations, meals and general use of the grounds. Payment is made directly to YMCA-BRA and is not tax deductible. However, all donations made to Kadampa Center are tax deductible.

We appreciate your early decision to attend Camp! Cancellations are subject to YMCABRA cancellation policies and refunds must be requested from YMCA-BRA directly. YMCA-BRA requires a $100 deposit that must be paid via credit/debit card online or by check if you are mailing in the registration. This deposit is non-refundable but can be transferred to another attendee.

At this time, only the $100 deposit may be made when registering online. Y-BRA does not accept phone registrations. After completing your online registration, you may pay your balance by contacting Y-BRA with a debit/credit card number if you would like to settle your balance prior to check-in.

Full payment, based on birthdate/age of the campers, is due upon check-in on September 1, 2017.

Liability Waiver

I/my family wish to visit and/or participate in activities sponsored by Kadampa Center’s Family Dharma Camp on the property of YMCA-BRA. I understand that I/we do so at my/our own risk. In exchange for being permitted to visit and/or participate in activities, I hereby release and waive Kadampa Center and YMCA-BRA or any entities affiliated with the foregoing from liability for any and all loss, damage, injuries, claims, demands, lawsuits, expenses, and any other liability of any kind, of or to me or any other person, directly or indirectly arising out of or in connection with my visit or participation in any activity.

Participant(s) understands that he/she is responsible to behaving in a careful and prudent manner to minimize the risk of injury to themselves or others. Participant(s) understands that activities are voluntary and that he/she should participate only to the extent that they feel appropriate for their own condition and skill level. My signature below holds all participants listed in my registration in this understanding.

You may settle your balance over-the-phone using a credit/debit card AFTER submitting an online or printable registration. A non-refundable $100 deposit is due upon registration to reserve your spot for the conference. The remainder of your payment is due in full upon check-in.
